Rental Terms
The fine print, in plain English.
Last updated September 27, 2026. By paying a deposit you agree to these terms with South River Outdoor Cinema ("we," "us").
1. Your booking and deposit
A $75 deposit reserves your date. We own one screen setup, so we book one event per night. The rest of your package price is due on event day.
Cancel 7 or more days before your event and we refund your deposit in full. If you cancel fewer than 7 days before your event, the deposit is non-refundable.
2. Weather and unsafe conditions
If rain or high wind is forecast, we decide together on event day. If we call it off for weather, your deposit moves to another open night at no cost.
Inflatable screens can't be used safely in strong wind. If winds exceed 20 mph, or conditions are otherwise unsafe (lightning, flooding, an unsafe site), we may pause, deflate, or reschedule the event. Weather and safety reschedules never cost you anything.
3. Your site
You provide a standard power outlet within 50 feet of the screen spot and a reasonably flat area for the screen. You're responsible for getting any permission needed to hold the event at the location (for example, from your HOA, landlord, school, or venue) and for following local noise rules. We plan for sound to be down by 10 PM unless you confirm your community allows later.
4. Safety
The screen must stay staked or weighted down whenever it's inflated. Keep children and pets away from the blower, stakes, and cords, and don't let anyone climb on, hang from, or play behind the screen. Keep drinks and food away from the projector and sound equipment. Adults are responsible for supervising guests, especially children.
5. DIY rentals: the equipment in your care
With the DIY Drop-off & Pickup package, we drop off between 4 and 6 PM on your event day and pick up by noon the next day. The equipment is in your care from drop-off until pickup. You agree to follow the setup walkthrough, keep the equipment dry and secure, and have it ready for pickup at the agreed time.
You're responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the equipment while it's in your care, beyond normal wear, up to the cost to repair or replace it. If something goes wrong, email us right away at support@tech-d-enterprise.com.
6. What you show
You're responsible for having the rights to what's shown, and for providing the streaming accounts, discs, or devices. Personal streaming and pay-per-view accounts are generally licensed for private viewing at a home.
Community, business, and public showings (HOAs, schools, churches, companies, or any event open to the public) generally need a public-performance license for movies, and a commercial license for pay-per-view or sports broadcasts. We're happy to help you arrange one before your event.
7. Liability
We set up and operate the equipment with care. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for injury, loss, or damage caused by misuse of the equipment, by guests, by not following these terms, or by conditions at the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Maryland law that can't be waived.
